White Wave Festival with York Dance Works

I just finished another set of performances at White Wave in Dumbo, Brooklyn. The piece, "Scale in Grey," is a ten minute female quintet choreographed by Lucy Struever, artistic director of York Dance Works. You can find out more information about the company here! I will be performing it again in March. (Pictures to come!)

I am also in a rehearsal process with Jordan Morley for a piece I will be performing on:
-February 19th at 7pm
-February 20th at 5pm
Location: Baryshnikov Arts Center, 450 West 37th Street (between 9th and 10th Avenues).

You can see a video about his upcoming work and also donate a few bucks if you are so inclined!

The Beginning

Well, not really the beginning, but the beginning of my descent into technology (most exciting, as I am not only technologically inept, but also hold fear and skepticism). This year I’m working on creating a website for my photography. However, since the dance world is quite needy and requires documentation of my dance ability, I am creating a blog for dance.

For my first entry of my dance adventures in New York City, I present to you a project requiring a white unitard:

On Tuesday I helped break the Guiness World Record with Pilobolus for most people packed inside an American Standard Mini Cooper. We fit 26 into the car.

If you don’t believe me, you can see it here!

That’s all for now!
